Advanced Separation
Industries
Carbon Chemistry is actively developing capabilities for advanced industrial separation. Battery materials recovery, e-waste processing, and complex mixed-stream process chemistry are the frontier — and we want to be in those conversations early.
Where We're Headed
Separation is the hard problem.
Every recovery process — whether it's extracting lithium from battery black mass, recovering precious metals from e-waste, or purifying an industrial process stream — bottlenecks at separation. Filtration media selection determines what's possible.
Carbon Chemistry has deep expertise in adsorption media: activated carbon, magnesium silicate, molecular sieves, alumina, and specialty clays. These are the same materials that handle industrial separations at scale. The applications are different; the chemistry is adjacent.
If your process involves battery materials recovery, e-waste separation, or a complex mixed-stream challenge, we'd like to hear about it. We're not promising a ready-made solution — we're promising a peer-level conversation with people who know the media.
